The Moon and I

Shining bright over the land

Leading to adventure that i'm yet to

Explore

Some nights you miss it all

While other evenings we play

late into the

night

Mornings dawn always ends our fun

This is the nicest time

Sometimes i try so desperately

To stretch this last moment

One more glimpse

If I could I would

Fashion a lasso of stars

Swing it around you

Pull you down from the vast sky

To continue our adventures together

Some nights I wish this kaleidoscope of diamonds

Could pull me to space with you where we would dance to the music

Within the universe

Mother earth far below us would

watch with envy

At my friend

The moon and I
