The Primal Wound Recommendation
I am speaking from my own life experiences and opinions as a transracial adoptee. Please recognize everyone is entitled to their own views and may have different experiences.
I have been inhaling various medias as I learn more about my biological heritage and adoption journey.
This was the first books I read and is often recommended through adoptive circles. It is sort of out of date but there is few adoptive studies that have been largely published making this book โcurrentโ.
I appreciate the read because it put words to a lot of emotions I felt and situations I dealt with (especially as a child) that I didnโt have the words or abilities to verbally describe appropriately.
Yes, the book is geared towards adoptive communities, however, it primarily discusses in domestic USA adoption situations. I do recommend this book for relative experiences but if you are looking for transracial or international background you may need to look further, too.
