What inspires me most to write and create?

The photo pictured below was inspired by some good friends of mine. These sisters are both incredibly talented. One plays harp while the other plays violin and guitar. I wanted to capture peoples lives in my collection of pictures for a school project without actually photographing people. In my opinion this was one of the best pictures I captured. There is a lot representing my friends but because they are both so much more than just this single frame, the boarders are not concrete. Each instrument is an individual but together they can make a beautiful picture.

Visually I like to make compositions with materials at hand. I enjoy tactile work because it always yields something interesting and new. I love to be surrounded by color and a lighthearted aesthetic. I am a visual tactile learner. I learn by doing things in a hands on style and by seeing something first hand. I think this is why I enjoy having art around me that makes me feel happy and peaceful.

Typically, I write from around me. I take what is happening in the world I am experiencing at the time. I may take a tree that I sit under as inspiration or feelings that the news headlines bring me. However, I am always looking for new beginnings and inspiration. For example, recently I have enjoyed reading short pieces by other writers and if a specific sentiment or phrase catches my mind I will spin off these words.
